It was a scintillating atmosphere yesterday which saw a battle between Manchester United welcoming Arsenal to Old Trafford. The match which has been raging for a week.
It marks the end of coaching era for the interim coach Michael Carrick having taken over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after he was sacked following a poor performance from the team and proving performance for him having managed United undefeated in about three games.
The game started on a very high note seeing a 5 goals in between the teams. The England sensational young talent E.Smith Rowe was the first to see the back of the net for Arsenal putting one past David de Gea only in the 13th minutes but Bruno Fernandez equalised at half-time mark.
It was an action packed second half when the five-times ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo put Manchester united back on the lead when he netted at 52mins putting is goal tally record at 800. However, Martins Ødegaard equalised again which should have sealed the game at a draw but Ronaldo was on the pitch and he made the difference when he put another past Ramsdale to crown United the king of the night and breaking another standing goal record, he now has 801 goals in all competitions. The game ended in 3-2 thriller.
Well, It was supposed to be a full celebration for United only for the interim coach Michael Carrick to tender his resignation following the win of the evening. This certainly is an indication that Manchester United have concluded their final arrangements and employment of new head coach Ralf Rangnick. He will be in charge of Manchester United for their next game; a match agaist Crystal Palace.
